This year Jeep is heading to Moab with 7 brand new Concepts that will make you praying they will make it to the factory.

Star of the concepts has to be a retro design of the cherokee chief SJ. Next to the Wrangler Africa which clearly is built for adventure.

New generation Jeep Wrangler will keep Solid Axles but loose foldable windshield

With the release of more details about the new generation of the Jeep Wrangler there comes good and bad news.

The Good news is, it will keep the solid axles which will make many Jeep fans gasp with relieve.

However one major factor that the wrangler has always been unique for and was present since the grand Father Willys was first produced, is the down folding wind shield. This is a bit of a shame since you do not get any 4x4 that still features this possibility.

Although most Wrangler drivers might not even know about this possibility in their Jeep, according to the newest releases this feature will soon be one of the past.

Among the key design features of the Jeep Wrangler, we'd say the solid-axle suspension is several orders of magnitude more important than the cool-but-perhaps-not-critical folding windshield. To that end, a recent Automotive News report should be mostly good news for the Jeep faithful.

The report states that the Wrangler will keep its solid front and rear axles when the vehicle is redesigned for the 2017 model year. That will have true believers breathing a sigh of relief, as Jeep had already ditched the solid axles in its other models.

The Grand Cherokee switched to an independent front suspension with the 2005 redesign, and lost its solid rear axle with the arrival of the current generation, for 2011. Meanwhile, Jeep dropped the solid front axle in the transition from the XJ Cherokee to the Liberty, and then went to a four-wheel independent setup when the Liberty was replaced with the new Cherokee.

Although the solid axles stay on, weight savings and improved fuel economy are major goals for the next-generation Wrangler—not a bad idea, given the current model's 17/21 mpg EPA ratings. To that end, the new Jeep will get an aluminum body; a smaller, turbocharged engine in place of the current 3.6-liter V6; and will upgrade to an eight-speed automatic.

The good news on the axle front is tempered, however, by word that the Wrangler will lose its upright, folding windshield in favor of a fixed unit with greater rake. While it's true that many Jeep owners probably don't even how that their windshield can be folded down—or wouldn't know how to do it—the folded-windshield driving experience is one of the things that makes the Wrangler unique. It's up there with the removable doors and convertible top—both of which had better stick around.

The Jeep Wagoneer Returns - Jeep Grand Wagoneer Confirmed by Jeep CEO

Long have we waited for the Wagoneer Legend to return into Jeeps Line up. With the disappearing fo the commander almost all hope was lost.

However a arrticle released on autoevolution brings back our hope and we can be looking forward to a new generation of the Wagoneer legend.

Chrysler's most profitable and acclaimed brand is going to launch a new generation of the seminal Wrangler in the near future, but that bit of news is nowhere near as exciting as what the Jeep brand is preparing to launch almost four years from now on.

Earlier this year, during the Chrysler Group's Investor Day, Jeep officials presented a brand and product extension plan that can be summed up as follows: the "C SUV" will replace both the Compass and Patriot in 2016, when the Cherokee will receive a facelift, with the new Wrangler to follow in 2017.

In addition to those, the Grand Cherokee will receive its second facelift in late 2015 before the new-gen will be launched in 2017. Furthermore, Jeep will dust off the Grand Wagoneer nameplate in 2018 with a seven or eight-seater model underpinned by the new Grand Cherokee. Jeep enthusiasts might have heard that name before: it was used in either Grand Wagoneer or Wagoneer form between 1963 and 1993 and it's a shame the legendary nameplate has been dropped.

Many enthusiasts of the brand and owners of the SJ, XJ and ZJ-generation Wagoneer have been urging Jeep to launch a new generation of the breed. With great fortune, their voices have been heard. Speaking to the Aussies from Motoring, Jeep president and chief executive officer Michael Manley disclosed that “I’ve always talked about Grand Wagoneer and that for me is a big focus and it will fill out the [Jeep] brand at the top end… Obviously I have intimate knowledge of what it is and I think that vehicle could very, very effectively compete with premium SUVs.”

Jeep aims to compete with the likes of Range Rover

Speaking of premium SUVs and filling out the Jeep brand at the top, Manley also hinted that “Range Rover and Jeep have historical competed…. they are the only other pure SUV brand in the world so they will always be competition," which is a tell-tale sign the replacement for the Grand Cherokee and the new 2018 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will push the envelope even further than the American brand already did.

Another bit of interesting news dropped by Manley is that according to which a crossover coupe a la BMW X4 and X6 is also considered for development. Even so, this is 2014 and the best Jeep product you can buy these days is the sporty Grand Cherokee SRT HEMI-engined brute.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon ROCKS STAR oncept

MOPAR has come up with a new concept of a Wrangler Rubicon that will also feature a 2.8 Liter Diesel engine. Although only available in Europe.

The folks at Mopar are in constant competition with any number of aftermarket equipment manufacturers with varying degrees of success. But what Mopar has that these manufacturers don't is space at the Geneva Motor Show to show off a Jeep concept laden with optional equipment to entice both future and current Jeep owners. The concept has been given the unfortunate name “Rocks Star”, and the eye-catching yellow and black color scheme is extended to the interior.

The concept has been given some military-ish style pre-distressed star graphics as well as a combination light bar/hoop attached to the A-pillar. Also not for everyone, because the EPA won't allow it, is the 2.8-liter diesel engine under the hood. As is often the case with diesels, this is an option for Europe but on the US. The concept will sit alongside the Wrangler Black Edition II at the Geneva Motor Show, for a further example of what is available from Jeep.

Being a Jeepless - How to manifest a Jeep.

People that know me are aware how much of a Jeep fan I am. Some of them even call me a addict or fanatic. Whereas I see it more as a passion.

Or has anyone ever called a passionate painter a fanatic?

However a Jeep "fanatic" is not complete without his Jeep.
That is me. I haven't got my Jeep of dreams yet.

This blog was originally intended to write about Jeep information in general, and don't get me wrong it will continue to. But since I am not in the possession of a Jeep yet, I want to dedicate more posts to the planning and action I will take in order to get my Jeep.

Our dream is to travel through Europe with a Jeep and end up in Iceland to get a Picture of us, the Jeep and the Northern Lights.

I am lucky that I have already found the right person that will travel with me and that knows how to take a good photo :)

In order to get the Jeep I want, I will have to decide on one. That is probably my biggest issue.

I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!

I still have my favourites though. The first and foremost is a XJ Cherokee with a 4.0 6 cylinder engine.

I know every experienced traveller will think I am crazy wanting to go travelling with a 4.0 Petrol gullet monster.

But I can't resist.This is the Jeep I stare at for manifestation. It covers my Desktops and phone.

I will write posts on the actions I take in order to get this Jeep and travel around Europe in it.
Our budget to get this Jeep is 3500€ and for travelling around in it we are looking at about 10000€ - 15000€
We have set ourself the target of 1 year to accumulate all we need to hit the road.

Sounds like a Adventure is Ascending.
